A Very Busy Time at Augusta Historical Society

The heritage of Augusta began with the C.N. James Trading Post.

Come and visit our log cabin, the oldest house in Augusta, Kansas.  It was built in 1868 and is listed in the National Register of Historical Places.  It housed a trading post, school house in the upper loft, Post Office, Church, and a popular gathering place for early pioneers.

This is a great year to become a member!  The first and oldest house in Augusta just FULL of Augusta heritage.  What isn’t in the log cabin, you will find in the adjoining museum.  Come and join us and share in helping our preservation efforts.

Family membership for $25.00
